All together there are 4 different families of instruments. Those families are Baroque Period, Classical Period, Romantic Period, and Modern Period. The first one that Im going to talk to you about is the Baroque Period. In the Baroque Period there was not very many instrument. There was 5 Violins, 2 violas, 2 celli, 1 double bass, 1 trumpet, 1 oboe, 1 flute, and 1 harpiscord. The next Period that I am going to talk to you about is the Classical Period. In the Classical Period there was alot more Instruments! There was 14 violins, 8 violas, 2 cellis, 4 double basses, 2 trumpets, 2 oboes, 2 flutes, 2 timpani, 2 french horns, 2 bassoons, and 1 conductor. Now I am going to tell you a little bit about the Romantic Period. In the Romantic Period there was alot more Instruments! there are 12 cellis, 10 double basses, 3 trombones, 4 bassoons, 12 voilas, 8 oboes, 3 trumpets, 1 tuba, 2 clarinets, 1 flute, 4 french hornes, 20 violins, 2 harps, a few percussion instruments and 1 conductor. And last but not least Im going to tell you about the Modern Period. There are only a few more Instruments in the modern Period then in the Romantic Period. Ther are 10 cellis, 12 violas, 8 double basses, 1 tuba, 3 trombones, 3 trumpets, 4 bassoons, 4 oboes, 4 clarinets, 4 timpani, 2 piccolo, 1 flute, 4 french hornes, a few percussion, 14 first violins, 14 second violins, 1 harp, and 1 conductor.

Woodwinds- piccolo, flutes, Alto flutes, Oboes, English Hornes, E-flat clarinet, b-flat clarinet, Bass clarinet, contrabass clarinet, bassoon, contrabassoon
Brass- Hornes, Trumpets, trombones, tuba
Percussion- Timpani, Percussion
Various Instruments- Harp, Keyboard instruments, Soloist, Chorus
Strings- Violin 1, violin 2, viola, cello, Double bass.
