1. I would catorigize the French Horn in the brass family.
2. There are 6 French horn players in the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, their Names are Elizabeth Freimuth, Thomas Sherwood, Gene Berger, Duane Dugger, Robert Schauer, and Charles Bell.
3. The player has to Buzz her/his lips while they are blowing air through a funnel or cup shaped mouth piece, that is what they do with their lips to produce a note.
4. The tubing on the French Horn is 12 feet 4.5 inches.
5. You can change the length of the tube, if you want a depressed valve, you have to add extra tubing. doing this lengthens the air column.
6. The French Horn would sound depressed. the valves in the French Horn Change sound when you add or take away tubing.
7. When you put your hand in the bell, you are supporting the instrument. If you change the position of your hand in the bell, your sound can be refined. Also by putting your hand in the bell, you can alter the otes pitch and mute it.
8. To write music for the French Horn you would use either a Bass clef or a treble clef.
9. No it was first thought of and invented in England as a hunting horn around 1650.
10. I think that the French Horn sounds bold and it sounds like it would be in a horror movie during a scary part.

the wave that makes a higher pitch is the bigger wave because you need to blow into the instrument a lot of air. So that would mean that the wave with a lower pitch is the smaller waves. i think it would be easier to produce a smaller wave.

I think it would be more interesting to play a lower pitched instrunment because you dont have to worry as much about loosing yoyr breath while you are playing because you dont have to blow enough air into the instrument as you would have to with a higher pitched instrument. If you are playing a higher pitched instrument you have to blow more air and you have to blow in it more stronger so the pitch would stay constant! now, if you were playing a lower pitched instrument you wouldnt have to blow that hard into the instrument.
